πŸ’«The 2 biggest struggles I see when trying to lose belly fat πŸ’«

Before I got into women's health I was around 200 lbs. I'd had my first kiddo, gained over 40 lbs and was only 19. So I did what most ladies do, I got a gym membership and ran on the treadmill.

In high school, I owned one. Bought it at Wal mart for $150 and thought that thing was going to make me look like America's Next Top model. Let's just say I had HIGH expectations. It sucked!

In a year it was collecting dust in my aunt's basement. Barely touched by either one of us.

Look, I have no room to judge anyone because I've done it all. I did the no carb, atkins, metabolife pills, salads all week, trying to do it on my own, giving up, starting over on Monday, etc.

Just like you, I got frustrated too. I just wanted the weight off YESTERDAY! My mid section needed a mommy make over. I wanted to feel good naked and in a bikini, but that seemed impossible.

So believe me when I say I feel you. I wish I could twitch my nose like a genie and make it go away, but honestly that doesn't work either.

Hence why shows like the biggest loser have no reunion shows.

When weight comes off fast it comes back fast. This is exactly why I am here today. Something many of my ladies say is they're tired of waiting for weight to come off. It takes too long and when it does come off it comes right back.

So instead of focusing on weight let's focus on what's really going on.

Yes, we want to lose lbs and see a win on the scale. But we need to like the way we're doing it. Throwing out all our food and sticking to a hard workout routine is not desirable or doable.

We just want to feel comfortable in our clothes and not just a few of them, ALL OF THEM! And we want to stay comfortable.

So here's what we can do...

  1. Drop the diet mindset and become a detective. Instead of trying to cut calories why not add more healthy food to your plate and have fun? Try a new food, online fitness class or at home meditation. And don't stop with 1 just start with 1. My 12 week clients do this every day until it becomes a habit and they find what they like.
  2. Eat more of what you like. It sounds crazy, but it's what actually works. You see so many of us want to lose weight so we stop eating. When in reality 95% of us don't eat enough and it's causing hormone imbalances. Our metabolism hates when we starve so when we do it responds with massive hunger, low energy and crazy cravings. Get in balance by adding some healthy snacks to your day.

If you're unsure of what to eat to reduce belly fat, I got you. Tomorrow I'll be back with some belly blasting recipes for you to try.

In the meantime, let me know what your working on right now. Is it less belly fat, a lower # on the scale or more confidence with your body?

Hit reply and let me know! I'll be waiting :)

P.S. The picture above is from my client Rachel who did an incredible job during her 12 weeks. She even skipped 3 weeks of workouts and we focused on making sure she ate enough of the right foods. If you'd like to lose 15lbs in 90 days naturally and reduce belly fat, I have 2 openings coming up in my Aug. 12 week program.

To apply for an opening click here: 12-Week Next Level Female Application.

If it looks like we'd be a good fit, I'll be in touch!

Ever feel like your body is changing and don't know why? When I spoke to my client Jenny she felt the same way. Her body felt like it was working against her. No matter how little she ate, she would gain weight. She was skeptical about trying to lose weight because her and her body had been at odds for years. She'd been thin her whole life, but when she became a mama and after 2 pregnancies, she gained 100lbs. When we spoke she felt miserable. Defeated. Exhausted. And... Confused! I could...

After a decade in women's health, I know eating enough is 1 of the biggest struggles for us women. Everything out here says eat less, workout more and if that worked we'd all be thin and fit. So skip that and the powdered food. If we want to lose weight after 35 and work with our hormones we must adopt healthy eating habits. And that means giving our body what it needs to gain energy, release fat and feel satisfied! We have to listen to our bodies and eat enough INSTEAD of eating 1200...

When I was 12, I'd squeeze in a size 9 because I loathed being a size 13. Quickly, I ripped the belt loops and the inner thighs would bust open! I was never skinny enough and always felt over weight. Now at 38, I've worked hard on my mind and body, but it didn't happen with starving, exercise or getting into smaller pants. And it wasn't because I knew what I was doing. In fact, I was light years away from knowing anything about what my mind & body needed. At 13, I became bulimic because I...
